SD Democratic Party & PennDems Condemn Political Violence

Sioux Falls, SD — The South Dakota Democratic Party is horrified by the deadly shooting of political activist Charlie Kirk at Utah Valley University.

"The political violence we've seen in this country over the last year needs to stop now," said SDDP Chair Shane Merrill. "My heart goes out to Charlie Kirk's family and the people who witnessed this heinous act."

"We unequivocally condemn political violence in all forms, political violence is never an acceptable answer," said SDDP Vice Chair Jessica Meyers.
